The Colorado Snowmobile Association was founded in 1970 as an opportunity to unite winter motorized recreationists across the state to enjoy their passion. It has continued the tradition of family and fun for the last almost 40 years. The association has also become the voice of organized snowmobiling to advance, promote and preserve the sport of snowmobiling through work with Federal and state land management agencies and local, state and federal legislators telling the truth about our sport.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Membership dues cover the expenses of running the association and not much else. Travel to and from meetings, hiring consultants to help address land use issues, publishing and distributing educational publications, and sponsoring safety and avalanche classes require additional funds.
WORKING WITH LEGISLATORS TO PROTECT ACCESS
Members of CSA travel each year to Washington DC to talk to Colorado's Congressional Delegation on behalf of snowmobiling in Colorado. During the 2010 trip we spent an great deal of time educating the Congressional staffers on the detriment of the Hidden Gems Wilderness Proposal, the San Juan Mountain Wilderness Proposal and the Colorado Wilderness Proposal.
WORKING TO PROTECT INTEGRITY OF STATE OHV AND SNOW PROGRAM FUNDING
CSA has worked in concert with the Colorado Off Highway Vehicle Coalition (COHVCO) to protect the integrity of the State OHV and Snow Program funding. Because of the large network of recreationists that COHVCO and CSA combined have, we have been able to protect the funds so far.
PARTNER TO MAINTAIN GROOMED TRAILS
CSA partners with Colorado State Parks and member clubs to provide over 3,000 miles of groomed and maintained winter trails all across the state with your registration fees.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to continue these programs as well as Wilderness education, avalanche awareness and riding safety classes!
